Dan White is Songwriter, Composer, Record Producer, Engineer, Artist in Residence at Central Saint Martins and founder of Buff Records. Dan graduated from Central Saint Martins in 2009 with a degree in Fine Art and went on to form the band Tribes in 2010. Tribes' debut album Baby charted in the UK top ten and the band were nominated for ‘Best New Band’ by NME Magazine in 2011. Tribes toured for three years with sell-out tours in the UK and the US as well as playing main stage slots at major festivals across Europe, Japan, US and South America. Dan has worked and recorded at many top recording studios including, BBC Maida Vale in London and Sound City Studios LA. In 2014 he was comissioned by Central Saint Martins to setup a new progressive music programme at the college. Metaphonica is now in its third year. Metaphonica supports innovation in creative practices between convetions of fine art and music making. Dan has wriiten scores for films, commercials and written songs for other artists. In 2016 Dan founded Buff Records: a record label, recording studio and production company based in east London.
